The investment casting process offers you maximum design flexibility with low tooling investment.
Investment casting delivers the combination of design freedom and tight tolerance for near net shape capability. Intricate features can be incorporated into the tooling made of steel or high strength aluminum alloy. The process could reproduce these features faithfully to minimize secondary machining.
DESIGN FREEDOM
With few limitations on sectional thickness, investment casting offers engineers greater freedom to design components for maximum function. Special features can be produced by EDM for the tooling construction. Equipped with various coring techniques, we can deliver investment cast parts with complex internal details.
WIDE ALLOY SELECTION
Nexus Pacific offers aluminum alloys, austenitic stainless steels, martensitic stainless steels, precipitation hardening stainless steels, low alloy, carbon and tool steels for investment castings. A variety of heat treatments can be performed based on your mechanical property requirements.
TOOLING ECONOMY
Built to withstand wax rather than molten metal, tooling for investment casting is very affordable. Nexus Pacific utilizes machining, wire EDM and EDM to construct the tooling from your 3D drawings.
CLOSE TOLERANCES
Investment casting provides tolerances of +/-.005 in/in. Tighter tolerances may be held based on special process controls.
COMPLETE TO PRINT
By working closely with the engineers at Nexus Pacific, you can effectively integrate more features into the casting die. Nexus Pacific also provides secondary machining and finishing processes to provide complete components to you.
