Die Casting
The die casting process provides complex configurations at lower unit costs than other casting processes.
DESIGN FLEXIBILITY
Die castings have been used to produce a wide variety of components for consumer, commercial and industrial products. Complex configurations can be produced with tight tolerance and excellent surface finish at high production volumes. Surface textures and other part details can also be incorporated into the tool to minimize secondary operations.
HIGH GRADE TOOLING
By using high-grade steel tooling, we utilize CNC machining and EDM processes to accurately produce the details specified in your 3D drawings. Appropriate heat treatments are applied to improve tool life.
WIDE MATERIAL SELECTION
Nexus Pacific offers various aluminum and zinc alloys. We provide a full spectrum of mechanical properties for various applications.
DIMENSIONAL INTEGRITY
Die cast parts are durable, dimensionally stable and accurate. Thin cross-sections can be produced with consistency. It is common to use the die casting option to replace weaker thermoplastic parts. Tolerances as tight as +/-0.002 in/in can be achieved with special design considerations.
NET SHAPE AND HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION
The highly versatile die casting process can produce complex part features directly to print, which typically allows die castings to be used as net shape products. The ability to consolidate several components and intricate structures into a single die cast part makes the process a more efficient, cost-effective alternative for high volume manufacturing. Die casting effectively minimizes production and assembly costs, compresses production time and optimizes material usage.
FINAL SURFACE FINISH
In some cases, secondary operations such as finishing may be necessary for the completion of die cast components. Nexus Pacific can provide plating, e-coating and powder coating to your castings, depending on your specific requirements.
